Southampton have said goodbye to Ryan Seager on Tuesday, releasing the youngster from his contract.
The 22-year-old had struggled for both fitness and form since sustaining a serious knee injury whilst on loan at Crewe Alexandra in 2016, and hadn’t appeared for the Saints’ senior side since the 2014-15 season.
Loan spells at MK Dons, Yeovil, and Telstar of the Dutch second-tier failed to reignite the spark some Southampton fans had seen in the forward’s game, and the club have now allowed him to sign for Yeovil permanently by terminating his contract at St Mary’s.

Seager, who has two England Under-17 appearances to his name, will join the League Two side aiming to help their bid for survival in the football league.
Sitting two places above the relegation zone, the Somerset-outfit will need Seager to bring his shooting boots up from the south coast if they are to avoid slipping into the conference.
