Southampton are interested in signing talented Bolton Wanderers youngster Luca Connell this month, report the Daily Mail.
The January transfer window is slowly coming to an end, with all business needing to be wrapped up by Thursday night.
Saints are still looking to acquire the Connell’s signature before then, however.
They are not the only club in the hunt to sign him, though, with fellow Premier League pair Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley also in the mix.

Capable of shining as both a defender and a midfielder, the 17-year-old will cost approximately £1million.
Should he move to Southampton, it would likely be as part of the youth setup to begin with, as he continues to develop as a player.
The teenager featured for Bolton in Friday’s FA Cup defeat away to Bristol City, earning praise for his performance.
He also represents Republic of Ireland’s U18s and a bright future is being predicted.
