Ralph Hasenhuttl has provided an injury update ahead of Southampton’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace this week.
In a report from the club website, the Austrian confirmed that Matt Targett is set to return to the fold, while Charlie Austin, Kayne Ramsey and Mario Lemina are all doubts.
Targett sustained a knee injury in the 2-1 win against Everton, but he has overcome the knock and has been back in training preparing for the game.
Charlie Austin is doubtful with Hasenhuttl conceding the striker has ‘a swollen foot’. There has also been some speculation surrounding Austin and his future at St Mary’s, with several clubs monitoring his situation.

Youngster Kayne Ramsay is also a doubt for Wednesday’s game after suffering from an illness, so will face a late fitness test ahead of the match.
Mario Lemina has had some ongoing stomach problems which have seen him out of action in recent weeks, while Ryan Bertrand is said to be close to returning after a lengthy period on the sidelines.
Saints face Crystal Palace in what is their first game in 11 days and go into this game off the back of two league wins. They sit behind Palace in the league on goal difference, after rising up the league under Hasenhuttl.
