Southampton face competition in their pursuit of Juventus defender Rogerio, as Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing a move for the Brazilian.
According to the Mirror, the Magpies have joined Saints and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to sign the left-back, who is currently impressing on loan at Sassuolo in Serie A.
The 21-year-old is yet to make an appearance for his parent club Juventus but has established himself as one of the emerging talents in Europe during his two-season loan spell with Sassuolo.
Despite his form, however, the Old Lady are reportedly willing to allow Rogerio to leave the club amid interest from the Premier League.

Saints’ apparent interest may come as a surprise given their options at left-back, with the likes of Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett both competing for a starting spot.
Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl could be looking to increase the competition within his squad, however, as he attempts to steer the team clear of relegation.
The Saints are currently three points clear of the drop zone after back-to-back victories over Everton and Leicester City respectively.
