Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has admitted that star player Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs, but he aims to keep him nonetheless.
The Danish international has been a key part of Saints’ side this season, taking the captain’s armband on numerous occasions.
His performances as of late have shown why he is so highly regarded amongst the Southampton squad, but speaking to the Daily Echo, Hasenhuttl says there are big clubs keeping watch.

Hasenhuttl made it clear that he has big plans for the 23-year-old if he can be kept at the club saying:
I see him as a captain for the future. He is one of the guys you can build a team around, but I know that a lot of good and famous clubs in Europe have him on their list.
Hojbjerg has been pivotal in Southampton’s turnaround under Hasenhuttl, who has galvanised the squad and lead them away from the relegation zone.
The centre midfielder has made 17 appearances so far this season, scoring three goals.
