Danny Ings was substituted during Southampton’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Wednesday, after struggling with a hamstring problem.
Thankfully, BBC Solent Sport claim the ailment is not to be considered overly serious, and the forward should be available for selection in the Saints’ FA Cup fixture against Derby on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has proved himself to be indispensable so far this season, being a valuable source of goals in a team that has been looking destined for a relegation dogfight.
With seven Premier League goals so far this season, the historically injury prone Ings has thus far avoided any catastrophic issue in his time on the south coast, and the Southampton faithful will be praying that remains the case.

New manager Ralph Hasenhüttl seems to have quickly identified Ings as a reliable goalscorer, and may opt to rest his star striker against Derby in the cup.
Charlie Austin may be in line for a start in the Midlands, although the front-man has the cloud of an FA charge hanging over him for an ‘offensive gesture’ made during the defeat to Manchester City.
