Milan have reportedly made contact with Southampton’s Manolo Gabbiadini ahead of the January transfer window.
Reports in Italy have claimed that Gennaro Gattuso’s men have set their sights on the forward after a deal for Luis Muriel fell through.
The Rossoneri had been hoping to strengthen in the final third during the January window, with the Colombian emerging as a possible target for the club, however, that no longer appears to be the case.

Gabbiadini has been linked with a number of moves away from Southampton after falling out of favour at the club and is known to be interested in the idea of a return to Italy.
Under Mark Hughes, the ex-Napoli man was unable to nail down a regular starting spot and it remains to be seen if he will be part of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans.
The likes of Danny Ings and Charlie Austin are both ahead of Gabbiadini and a January sale could bring in valuable funds for the new manager.
