Southampton striker Charlie Austin could face punishment from the Football Association after he made a gesture to the travelling Manchester City fans whilst he was being replaced by Shane Long.
According to a report on the Mirror, the FA will contact the Englishman and ask for his account of the incident.

Television cameras captured Austin sticking up two fingers towards the away fans as he was leaving the pitch during Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to the defending Premier League champions.
The FA have given Austin until Tuesday to respond to them with a full explanation of his actions.
The FA are also waiting for a report from the match referee Paul Tierney regarding the incident before they make any decision.
Previous players who have gestured with their fingers to spectators have been hit with one or two-match bans, whilst also being given hefty fines.
With some big games coming up for the Saints, losing Austin for one moment of madness could prove to be costly.
