Nigel Pearson and Craig Shakespeare are both said to be interested in taking the vacant Southampton job.
According to Sky Sports News, the two former Leicester City managers are keen to hold talks with the Premier League side following the news that Mark Hughes has been relieved of his duties.
Southampton confirmed this morning that Hughes had been sacked following a disappointing run of form in the Premier League.

The Saints let a two-goal lead slip against Manchester United over the weekend and the club have decided to make a decision.
Pearson is currently in charge of Belgian First Division B side OH Leuven and has been since 2017.
Meanwhile, Shakespeare has not managed since his short spell in charge of Leicester but has also had coaching roles with the England national team and Everton working alongside Sam Allardyce.
Reports have suggested that Quique Sanchez Flores and Paulo Sousa are among the early frontrunners for the Southampton job.
