Southampton are amongst several Premier League clubs supposedly interested in a move for Internazionale midfielder Joao Mario.
The Portuguese international has fallen out of favour in Milan, and despite repeated attempts by I Nerazzurri, the club were unable to sell the 25-year-old during the summer transfer window.
Joao Mario’s current football is coming exclusively with Portugal, and has not appeared for Inter so far this season.
Calcio Mercato report the attacking midfielder’s agent is eager to bring him to the Premier League once more, where he enjoyed a fruitful spell with West Ham last season.

Making 14 appearances for the Hammers, Joao Mario looked at home in the English top-flight.
The Italian report also names a number of clubs who may be vying for the Sporting youth-product’s services, including Southampton.
However, not alone in their pursuit of Joao Mario, the Saints can reportedly expect competition from Fulham, Leicester City, and stop me if you’ve heard this one before – Wolverhampton Wanderers.
