Stuart Armstrong has admitted to enduring a difficult adjustment process to the Premier League.
The attacking midfielder moved to Southampton from Celtic in the summer for a fee of £7 million, and despite a positive preseason, the 26-year-old has his chances for the Saints limited.

Quoted by the Evening Express, Armstrong said:
It’s been a bit of a change for me joining Southampton.
It’s a different environment and a different league.
I’m trying to be patient and wait for my place in the team and hopefully that comes over the next few weeks and months.
I’ll just keep working hard and try to get into the team.
Armstrong has appeared six times for Southampton this season, in a campaign admittedly affected by injury.
One start in the Premier League came in the first game of the season against Burnley, with Mark Hughes preferring to play with two strikers in the absence of a designated attacking midfielder.
