Southampton are to face competition from a pair of Premier League clubs in their quest to sign Rachid Ghezzal from AS Monaco.
It transpired last week that the Saints had reignited their interest in the Algerian international, and Dean Jones of Bleacher Report is now claiming Watford will also look to make a move for the winger.
Having waved goodbye to Richarlison earlier in the transfer window, the Hertfordshire club are now tasked with replacing the young Brazilian.

Ghezzal joined Monaco prior to the start of the 2017-18 season, acquired on a free transfer from Ligue 1 rivals Lyon.
Making 28 appearances for his new club, just eight of those chances came by way of the starting XI.
Southampton are looking to add Ghezzal to a list of summer acquisitions that includes other attacking options Mohamed Elyounoussi and Stuart Armstrong.
In addition to a contest from Watford, Southampton may face a struggle with other Premier League clubs to secure the signature of the 26-year-old.
