Stuart Armstrong has spoken of his satisfaction regarding how he has settled since his move to Southampton this summer.
The Scotland international arrived as Saints’ first signing of the transfer window, with the club having agreed a deal to sign him from Celtic for a figure believed to be around £7 million.
Armstrong has featured regularly under Mark Hughes during the pre-season fixtures since his arrival and netted his first goal in a Saints shirt on Wednesday night.
Southampton came from two goals behind against Celta Vigo to win 3-2, with Armstrong netting Saints’ equalising goal on the night.

The 26-year-old’s industrious displays so far have impressed many Southampton fans and Armstrong feels he has the club to thank for making the transition from Celtic so simple.
As quoted by the club’s official website, Armstrong discussed how he has enjoyed the hectic pre-season schedule with his new club.
We’ve been travelling a fair bit. Obviously, we had two weeks in China, then we were back for a few days, and then away again to France, so it’s been pretty hectic since I came down here. But it’s all good things, all different experiences and another good one tonight, so things have been good.
Everyone’s been great with me. There’s a lot of organisation in coming down here and making sure everything else goes smoothly outside the training ground, so credit to the club for making that transition as smooth as possible.
