Southampton have rejected a bid from Fulham for Matt Targett, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The left-back was on loan at Fulham last season and the Whites were understood to have been interested in making the 22-year-old’s presence in West London permanent.
However, with the bid at £10 million the Saints won’t be saying goodbye to the prodigy just yet.

Targett made 23 appearances in Fulham’s promotion campaign last year, establishing himself on the perimeter of their defense by the time the playoffs came around at the end of the season.
Despite captain Ryan Bertrand being the clear first-choice left-back, manager Mark Hughes appears to have grand designs for Targett’s inclusion on the South Coast next season.
The full-back laid on two goals during his season in the Championship, scoring one himself.
With 12 appearances for the England U21s, the pedigree of Targett at such a young age is undeniable, and Saints fans will eagerly await to see him given chances to impress in the Premier League next season.
