Southampton have offered goalkeeper Stuart Taylor a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire this summer.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City goalkeeper who is famed for having made staggeringly few appearances in all competitions, less than 100, in his over 20-year career, was signed by Southampton in 2016 having been released from Leeds prior to spending a year without a club.

Despite not making a single appearance, the Saints offered him a one-year extension last summer and despite him again failing to make a single appearance last season, the South Coast club have done so once again.
This was confirmed by the Premier League, who have now released the retained list from all 20 Premier League clubs.
Taylor joins Tyreke Johnson, Kingsley Latham, Aaron O’Driscoll and Joseph Rose in having been offered a new deal.
