Maya Yoshida will be staying put at Southampton despite apparent interest from a Saudi Arabian club in recent weeks, reports the Daily Echo.
Al Hilal were interested in the Japanese international, but Yoshida is settled with Southampton and doesn’t want to seek pastures new just yet.
The 29-year-old signed for the Saints in 2012 when they were first promoted to the Premier League, and has played over 150 games for the club.

It seems Saints will be warding off potential suitors this summer, with Yoshida set to be an unobtainable target for other clubs, especially given that he still has two years left on his deal at St Mary’s.
He played a vital role in the Premier League recently as the club struggled, playing 24 Premier League games and scoring twice in helping them finish 17th to escape the drop.
Yoshida is now preparing for the World Cup with Japan and is hoping to help them qualify past the group stages.
