Southampton full back Ryan Bertrand has been linked with a move to Newcastle United if the Saints are relegated to the Championship, according to the Express.
Bertrand has, for a large part of the season, been the Saints captain with regular skipper Steven Davis sidelined since January with a frustrating injury.
With just three games to go, Bertrand will need to play a key role if he is to help keep his side in the Premier League.

Bertrand is also hoping to be a starter for England at the World Cup this summer, so will be looking to put in three strong performances to cement his place in Gareth Southgate’s side.
However, if Saints are unable to beat the drop interest in the 28-year-old is likely to be plentyful as he would be an improvement for numerous top flight sides.
Tottenham reportedly have an eye on the full-back, whilst Everton and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for him.
