Southampton manager Mark Hughes has hailed Dusan Tadic’s match-winning performance against Bournemouth on Saturday as “first-class”, as reported by the club’s official website.
The Serbian scored two brilliant goals to help Hughes’ side stay alive as they battle to avoid the drop to the Championship.
Tadic now has three goals in his last two appearances at St Mary’s and is set to play a key role in the relegation battle.
The playmaker has always had a lot of quality but, at times this season has failed to make it count. However, he has turned up in the past couple of weeks at a time when it has certainly mattered.

Time was beginning to run out for the club but the win over Bournemouth has given Saints fresh hope that they can get out of the current trouble that they are in.
Hughes spoke about the quality which Tadic possesses following the vital win at St Mary’s:
Until you actually work with someone, you can underestimate the quality that they have. I’ve always admired him from afar and thought he was a very effective Premier League player.
Seeing his character and ability up close, he is simply first-class. His impact won us the game against Bournemouth and, off the field, his impact on the group is always positive.
