Steven Davis and Maya Yoshida will both remain unavailable for this weekend’s trip to Newcastle United as the pair recover from injuries as reported by the club’s official website.
Yoshida remains out with a knee injury which has seen him miss the last three weeks of action. Although, he is expected to return following the international break later on in the month.
As for Davis, he continues to be out with a hamstring injury which was sustained in recent weeks. It seems he has suffered a setback in his recovery, but there is hope that he will be available for the FA Cup quarter-final clash with Wigan next weekend.

Elsewhere, striker Charlie Austin remains out with a long-term injury but he has returned to training this week with his team. Saints are in a critical stage of the season and the sooner they get Austin back the better.
The boss Mauricio Pellegrino gave the update on his squad’s condition in his weekly press conference:
Davo continues with his treatment. Last week he felt something more in his hamstring, so he will be unavailable for another week.
Also Charlie [Austin] and Maya [Yoshida], will be the other players that are out this weekend.
