Southampton host Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend in what appears to be a crucial relegation six-pointer.
Mauricio Pellegrino’s side sit 16th in the league table, with only goal difference keeping them out of the drop-zone.
Stoke on the other hand are 19th, yet victory on the South Coast would see them leapfrog the Saints, who are just one point above them. The Potters will be confident coming into this fixture, with their last two visits to St Mary’s ending in 1-0 victories.
Paul Lambert is set to be boosted with the return of Ryan Shawcross and Peter Crouch, after the duo endured a spell on the sidelines, but goalkeeper Lee Grant misses out with a fractured wrist.
Southampton are understood to have no fresh injury concerns, with Pellegrino seemingly able to pick from close to a full squad in what will be the biggest game of their season so far.
The importance of this game cannot be overestimated for either side, with both teams desperate for points at this stage. But where will the game be won or lost?
