Southampton extended their winless streak in the Premier League to 12 games, as they were held to a 1-1 draw to Brighton.
Brighton started the game well and got a golden chance early on, as Wesley Hoedt brought down Solly March in the box to gift the visitors a penalty.
Glenn Murray stood up to the challenge and calmly slotted the ball past Alex McCarthy to hand the visitors an early lead.
Saints struggled to create any clear-cut chances, but found an equaliser when James Ward-Prowse’s low delivery found the legs of Jack Stephens, who managed to get a touch on the ball to help it home; his second goal in two games.
However, Saints were sloppy in possession and couldn’t find a winner, as they ended up taking just a point from a must-win game.
Let’s look at our four findings from the game.
