Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino will make a late decision on the fitness of midfielder Mario Lemina as the Saints prepare for their meeting with Everton this weekend, as confirmed on the club’s official website.
The Saints already have Oriol Romeu absent as he is suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards, so the return of Lemina would be a huge boost for the team.

The ex-Juventus man has had an extended spell on the sidelines but has been recovering well over the last couple of weeks but it is still not clear whether he will be ready in time for this weekend’s game.
Pellegrino said:
Mario is getting better, we will decide how we can organise the team. We’ve not decided yet. Most of the other players are okay.
Lemina was hitting form in the midfield for the Saints before picking up the injury, which has seen him miss the last five weeks of the season.
Southampton are currently 14th in the Premier League table but are only four points above the relegation zone after a slow start to the campaign.
Lemina’s composure and quality on the ball would be welcomed back to the team with open arms against Everton, who themselves are looking for a morale-boosting victory to lift them away from the relegation places.
