Southampton make their first trip to Huddersfield for the first time since the 2010/11 promotion season from League One.
The last time the sides faced each other at the John Smith’s Stadium was the 16th of October 2010. The Terriers won the game on the day thanks to goals from Anthony Pilkington and Joey Gudjonsson.
Fast forward seven years and the sides are ready to lock horns for the first time ever in the Premier League.
Southampton have accumulated four points from their first two games thanks to a draw and a win against Swansea and West Ham respectively. Southampton also crashed out of the League Cup during the week with an uninspiring 2-0 defeat at home to Championship high flyers Wolves.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield and David Wagner have made a flying start to the season, winning both of their Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Newcastle respectively. Huddersfield also progressed to round three of the League Cup after coming from behind to beat Rotherham 2-1.
