Southampton’s interest in Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto has been well documented but with the La Liga side happy to let him go, plenty of other clubs have joined the race to sign him.
It was reported a few days ago that Valencia had made an enquiry about the 23-year-old and now Monaco have shown an interest in signing him.
The reigning French champions have already lost a number of players this summer and with doubts over the future of striker Kylian Mbappe, they’ve begun looking at a number of potential new signings.

Southampton are reportedly keen to take the Argentinian attacker on loan but Atleti would prefer a sale as they look to raise more funds to offset the cost of Diego Costa, who looks certain to make a move back to his former side.
Monaco will certainly have the finances to complete a permanent move for the forward, time will tell if the Saints are willing to pay out to take him.
