Southampton play host to Swansea on the opening weekend of the 2017/18 Premier League season.
This will be the first competitive match for new Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino, as he will be looking to start the season with a solid win at home.
Southampton mostly struggled last season due to poor form at home, so it must be crucial to be able to perform well at St. Mary’s this season.
However, the new signings of Mario Lemina from Juventus and Jan Bednarek from Lech Poznan could possibly make their debut and help improve Saints’ performances.
Swansea will be coming back after surviving relegation the previous year and are hoping that they can improve this season.
However, with Fernando Llorente injured and Gylfi Sigurdsson looking likely to be leaving, Swans boss Paul Clement has confirmed that both will not play against the Saints on Saturday.
