Southampton travel to Brentford on Saturday for their second game of pre-season.
Mauricio Pellegrino will have another chance to get used to his new squad and improve from the 0-0 draw to St. Gallen while in Austria.
Manolo Gabbiadini provided most of Saints’ chances in the match, and Saints will hope to start scoring against Brentford.
The Saints looked good throughout the game and showed really good sparks of Pellegrino’s style, and the team are hoping that they can turn that into goals against a lower league English side.
Brentford, who are in the Championship, are a decent side for the Saints to come up against, but one that the top flight team should probably be beating on Saturday. However, Pellegrino is just getting used to the squad, so the game may not be about the result, but the minutes the players get on the pitch.
