Premier League players Saints could sign this Summer

This part of the year is usually the biggest for Southampton, as the South Coast side are mostly known for the sale of their biggest performing stars of the previous campaign. However, this year needs to be different if the Saints want to improve next season.

The 16/17 Premier League season hasn’t been Southampton’s fondest, as an eighth place finish ended our constant run of improvement from the back-to-back promotions back in 2012.

New manager Claude Puel had a lot to do on his first season in charge, with a reputation of previous gaffer Ronald Koeman to live up to, however an early exit in the Europa League didn’t bring to much confidence for the fans in the early stages of the season.

In our other competition, nonetheless, Puel led Southampton all the way to Wembley in the EFL Cup final, which saw the Saints narrowly losing out to Manchester United 3-2, with some controversial decisions maybe deciding the outcome.

But that didn’t stop the fans having some great memories along the way, with Sofiane Boufal scoring the goal of the season against Sunderland and two incredible victories over Liverpool in the semi-finals.

This proved to be an only positive in this season and Mauricio Pellegrino is now at the helm, ready to kick on for his first season as a manager in England.

But now it’s time to look ahead to the summer transfer window, so I’ve put together a few names from the Premier League that I would love to see make a move to the South Coast:
