The summer transfer window is upon us and that means one thing – players coming and going.
Saints have become renowned for selling players each window but in this slideshow, I take a look at some we should loan out.
Over the course of the 2016/17 season, the club loaned out three players – Paolo Gazzaniga, Jason McCarthy and Sam Gallagher. The latter was successful to an extent, scoring 12 and assisting four in his time at Blackburn Rovers.
Saints will certainly look to add to their ranks this summer which could lead to less playing time for young players and therefore result in a loan move for them.
Southampton usually use the loan system each summer to send out youth prospects to lower English leagues to gain experience and develop as a player.
I wouldn’t expect this to change anytime soon, so here are some players I think the club should allow to go this season.
