The summer transfer window has opened and Southampton have so far signed just one player – Jan Bednarek.
The press haven’t been infrequent in publishing stories regarding a potential departure of star defender and captain Virgil van Dijk, though, along with other big name players at the club.
However, there have been few stories regarding those who could come in over the summer, as a few players have been linked with a move to St Mary’s.
Whilst looking for a new manager, player recruitment at the club has been put on hold but now that Mauricio Pellegrino has been appointed as the new manager of Southampton Football Club, Les Reed and co. can finally start to look at improving the squad ahead of what seems to be an exciting season.
