It feels a long time since the season ended but we still don’t know who will manage Southampton next season and it currently seems as though Claude Puel will be in charge.
Although, I am struggling to see how Puel could possibly still in be charge as it has been reported in the recent days we have identified Thomas Tuchel and other coaches on a managerial shortlist to replace Claude Puel.
I feel he knows what his fate is and is currently in talks over his payment to leave, but a part of me wishes it was sorted as he has gone on holiday in limbo and he could have been told the decision before rather than this dragging on.
I feel sorry for the guy, despite the fact I would like a change this summer. I understand we want to get the right choice to replace him but we have a big summer ahead of us, without even considering the manager staying or going.
The time is now for the board to make a decision for the sake of us all.
