The Saints striker is named alongside Ciro Immobile, Andrea Belotti and Èder as the attacking options. With injury problems temporarily keeping Gabbiadini out of the squad, it’ll be a great relief for him to be back amongst his country’s national side.
Gabbiadini signed for Saints on deadline day of the January window and has been a very profitable purchase for the south coast club. Netting twice in the EFL Cup final and four times in his first three Premier League games, he has made a big impression.

Since then, however, injury has been the downfall of Gabbiadini’s red-hot form, as he suffered a groin problem in the first half against Tottenham Hotspur back in March.
The Italian forward has lacked service up front for Southampton and hasn’t scored since his injury, suggesting Saints could do with a tactical change at the helm this summer.
