Southampton will host Arsenal at St Mary’s on Wednesday with both sides looking to build on relatively good results last time out.
Claude Puel’s side come into the game on the back of two goalless draws, first at home against Hull City and then against Liverpool on Merseyside.
Arsenal will be looking to capitalise on their recent home success against Manchester United as they push to finish the season strongly and break into the top four and seal Champions League qualification.
Not unlike Saints’ last opponents, Arsenal will be well aware of Southampton’s quality having lost to them at the Emirates in the EFL Cup earlier in the season. Something else that Liverpool and Arsenal share is their record of purchasing Southampton players through the years; with Theo Walcott, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Calum Chambers making the switch from the south coast to the capital.
Here we take a look at a combined line-up from both clubs based on a combination of form and quality – let us know what you think in the comments, who would be in your XI?
