Chelsea extended their lead at the top to seven points after beating Southampton 4-2 despite a good first half performance from the Saints.
It was a difficult contest for the visitors, who fought back well on two occasions through goals from Oriol Romeu and Ryan Bertrand. However, a goal apiece from Eden Hazard and Gary Cahill along with a brace from Diego Costa sealed a big win for the league leaders.
