Southampton Football Club have officially released the details for next season’s season tickets with purchases available from Tuesday 4th April.
The theme of next campaign’s season tickets revolves around family and the change of prices to benefit families, with the introduction of a brand new family area in the Itchen South being factors of this theme.
Prices have been frozen once again from this season with 2,000 seats cheaper next season than they were for the 2016/17 campaign which is positive news from the club, proving that they do care about their fans and want to make football at St Mary’s affordable.
Furthermore, prices for new season ticket holders have been reduced by a further 11% which is also pleasing to see.
Some of the benefits of being a season ticket holder for next season are:
- Guaranteed access to Southampton’s 19 Premier League home games next season.
- Priority towards tickets for cup and away games.
- 10% discount on official Southampton FC merchandise in-store and online.
- Access to the ticket exchange to sell the holder’s seat if the fixture sells out and the holder cannot attend.
- The opportunity to spread out the cost of the ticket over ten monthly installments.
These benefits haven’t changed from last season but it is still positive that none have been discarded.
Price-wise, the most expensive area of St Mary’s is the Itchen Premium with adult and child tickets costing £759. Once again regarding the theme of family, the Family Stand is the cheapest part of the the stadium with Under-11 tickets costing parents just £50 (less than £3 per game) and adult tickets costing £541.
With no elements of this season’s season tickets being discarded for next term’s season tickets and with some being added, the announcement of the details of next season’s season tickets is rather pleasing.
