Southampton defender Jose Fonte has agreed to join West Brom, yet also is now set to reject them, according to BBC WM.

The Southampton captain handed in a transfer request earlier this month to force through a move from St. Mary’s after a seven-year stay at the club and isn’t short of suitors.
West Ham are also in talks to sign the Euro 2016 winner while Ronald Koeman wants to reunite with the towering Portuguese defender at Everton. Manchester United have also been linked.
It’s being reported that the Baggies have agreed a deal with Fonte, but the centre-back is likely to reject a move to the Hawthorns in favour of West Ham should the Hammers get a deal over the line.
Southampton have been linked with a move for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho as his replacement.
