According to the Mirror, Southampton striker Shane Long is the subject of interest from former club West Brom, who let him go three years ago.
West Brom currently sit in 8th place in the Premier League largely down to the impressive form of Salomon Rondon in attack but other than the Venezuelan the Baggies are short of options in the final third of the pitch.
With Saido Berahino expected to leave the club either this month or in the summer when his contract expires, Tony Pulis wants a replacement in-house for when that time comes and wants to bring Shane Long back to the club.

The Baggies signed the Republic of Ireland international from Reading back in the summer of 2011 for just £4.3m and Long had a decent spell at the Hawthorns, scoring 22 goals in 83 appearances before being sold to Hull in January 2014 for £7.2m.
Long later joined Southampton in a £12.7m deal at the end of the 2013/14 season and was a regular in the side under Ronald Koeman. However, he’s started just five Premier League games under Claude Puel this season, scoring once.
