According to The Mirror, Southampton are set to sign Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond, with the winger set to undergo a medical at Staplewood today.
Read Southampton first broke the news of Southampton’s interest in Redmond. We revealed that the Saints had made an enquiry for the winger last month, with the deal now looking to be concluded in the coming days.
The Mirror state that a fee of £11m has been agreed between the two sides. The fee will start at £8m, rising to £11m.
Redmond is entering the final year of his contract, which means Southampton have been able to agree a fee much lower than it was expected to be. £11M is not a lot in today’s market, especially for an England under-21 international with two years of Premier League experience under his belt.
So, Redmond is set for a medical today before finalising terms ahead of an official statement from the two clubs in the coming days.
