Koeman highlights the importance of the next two weeks

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has made it known that he is well aware of his side’s sliding form, and that they could be forced into a relegation battle if their recent performances continue.

Out of their last four games, the Saints have only managed to grab one point which has seen them slide down the Premier League table into 12th position.

Koeman’s side are seven points above the dreaded drop zone, but the Dutchman is adamant that his team has what it takes to turn things around.

I’m always positive, I think we will get positive results in the next couple of weeks.

If you look to the table and who we play in the coming weeks, we will know a lot more about our ambition for the rest of season after those games.

Koeman’s side host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, managed by former Saint Mauricio Pochettino, and then they’ll take the trip to fellow London side Arsenal on Boxing Day. The Saints then have another fixture with a side from the Capital, coming up against West Ham on the 28th December.

Southampton fans alike that recent performances will be turned around, with various players looking to impress following some difficult displays.
