Scouts from Southampton were at Galatasaray’s Champions League group game with Benfica last night taking a closer look at full back Jason Denayer, according to website club call.
The Belgium international played right-back as his side lost 2-1 in Portugal.
Denayer, who is currently on loan at the Turkish side from Manchester City, played alongside Virgil Van Dijk when they were both at Celtic last season.

The 20 year-old has featured four times for the Istanbul side this season and is believed to be settled in Turkey.
But with Southampton monitoring his performances and the Van Dijk alliance, could a move to the south coast be on the cards for the young full-back?
This is not the first time scouts have been sent to the Portuguese region after the signing of Cedric Soares from Sporting Lisbon in the summer.
Reports in Belgium suggest the Southampton scouting team will be watching Gent take on Valencia tonight.
