Southampton welcome local rivals AFC Bournemouth to St. Mary’s this weekend in the first ever Premier League clash between the two sides, and I have compiled a combined starting XI.
Both go into Sunday’s game in rather contrasting form, The Saints are unbeaten in six in all competitions, which includes a memorable 3-1 victory at current champions Chelsea, whilst Bournemouth already find themselves in a relegation battle having only picked up one point from their last four encounters.
Southampton currently sit in eighth place in English’s top division, nine places above the 17th placed Cherries.
