Arsenal have been fined £60,000 for regulation breaches in regards to the transfer of Calum Chambers.
In a statement, the FA said that they have also fined the player’s agent, Alan Middleton, £30,000 and he has been given a suspended ban of three months from all agency related activities. Middleton’s ban will come into effect if he proceeds to breach regulations again in the next 18 months
Chambers moved to Arsenal at the start of the 14/15 season for a fee in excess of £10m, and has made 39 appearances for the Gunners.
It took only 25 Southampton appearances for the Englishman to impress Arsenal to a high enough degree that they would splash the cash on him. He netted three times during his Southampton career, and got an equal number of assists. He has since gone on to make 25 Premier League appearances for Arsenal; but is currently out of the first team picture at the Gunners.
The England international will take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup in midweek, while Southampton face Premier League strugglers Aston Villa.
