Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has described star Sadio Mane as a player who “has you on the edge of your seat”
Mane has had a brilliant start to the season, scoring four goals in all competitions. The pacey striker has been leading the line for Southampton and has shown his worth in the games he has played.
His blistering pace means that he can leave any defender stranded, and he has certainly used his strengths to get a upper hand on his opponents.
Sadio is the one who gets you on the edge of your seat. He’s so unpredictable and defenders find it difficult to keep up with someone with that much pace. He puts defenders on the back foot straight away.
This season he does seem to have found something a little bit extra, which is terrific.
The former Red Bull Salzburg player has become a favourite amongst fans, much like Le Tissier was during his time at the club. The Senegal international has formed a partnership with Graziano Pelle this season, and they helped to secure a 3-1 win over struggling Chelsea two weeks ago.
Southampton finished 7th in the Barclays Premier League last season, and with Mane’s help, they will be looking to secure a spot in the Europa league this campaign.
