Wycombe Wanderers have snapped up Southampton’s Jason McCarthy a one month loan deal.
The Defender, who lifted the Under-21 Premier League Cup with Southampton as captain of the side, joins The Chairboys who currently sit sixth in League Two with 21 points from a possible 33 and only 2 points off the automatic spots.
The 19 year-old, who made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace last season, joins Gareth Ainswoth’s side until 12th November and will certainly be looking to feature in Wycombe’s upcoming league fixture with Stevenage on Saturday.
McCarthy came on for Nathaniel Clyne in a 3-1 away win for his one and only senior appearance for Southampton.
But the versatile defender will certainly be looking to get a run of games under his belt at Adams Park to bolster his chances of first team football at St Marys.
Jason, who can play at either centre-back or right-back, has made six appearances at under-21 level so far this campaign.
