Southampton are close to signing Malaga striker Juanmi according to reports from Spain, with the Spanish international said to be in England for his medical.
The Saints have been linked with the 22 year-old forward for some time and reports suggest that Ronald Koeman and the club have decided to meet his £5million release clause.
Newcastle and Aston Villa have also been interested in the Spaniard who made his debut for Malaga at just 16 but Juanmi has already agreed terms to take him to the South Coast.
Personal terms had been agreed between the two according to the Daily Mirror, with David Moyes and Real Soceidad trying to hijack the deal but Juanmi looks to be ready to make good on his word.
The 22 year-old scored eight times in 38 La Liga appearances last campaign – earning him his first call-up to the full international team.
