Mane enjoyed a fantastic debut season in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old joined Ronald Koeman’s side as a £10million deadline-day signing from Red Bull Salzburg last year.
He went on to score 10 goals in his first season at St Mary’s and helped Saints secure their highest ever Premier League finish of seventh, along with a place in next season’s Europa League.
Mane was an integral part of Southampton’s success last campaign, scoring the decisive goal in three crucial 1-0 victories.
The forward also scored the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history, in just two minutes and 56 seconds, as Southampton beat Aston Villa 6-1 at St Mary’s in May.
Mane’s impressive performances have caught the eye of Bayern Munich and boss Pep Guardiola.
Bayern are said to be preparing a bid for the Senegal international, but after such a good start to his Southampton career, manager Koeman will be keen to keep him at St Mary’s.
