Victor Wanyama has revealed he would like to move to Arsenal.
Arsenal have been linked with Wanyama, as well as Saints team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin, but the Gunners have seen Manchester United overtake them in the race for Schneiderlin’s signature.
The Gunners will no doubt be pleased to hear that the 23 year-old would be open to a move.
The Saints midfielder, speaking on Kenyan TV said: “It would be nice to move to Arsenal.”
At first glance, Wanyama appears to be another potential want-away employee at St. Mary’s but the Kenyan Captain quickly distanced himself from the story; seemingly understanding instantly that his comments could be misconstrued.
“But at this moment such decisions can only be made by Southampton and that is where my concentration as a player is.”
Wanyama has been one of the Saints star performers this season, earning the President’s Choice Award at the SFC Player Awards, and his form has attracted admirers around the Premier League.
