Saints duo James Ward-Prowse and Matt Targett have been included in the England Under-21s’ final 23-man squad for the European Championships in Czech Republic this month.
The tournament will get underway on the 17th June and continue until the end of the month with the final taking place on 30th June in Prague.
The pair will travel alongside Tottenham’s Harry Kane, John Stones of Everton and former team-mate Callum Chambers as Gareth Southgate’s side kick off their challenge on 18th June against Portugal at 7:45 BST.
They will then face Sweden at the Andruv Stadion at 5pm BST three days later before playing Italy at the same venue with kick off, once again at 7:45 BST.
Ward-Prowse appeared 30 times for Saints this season contributing seven assists and one goal. Alternatively, Matt Targett appeared 10 times for the first-team after impressing in the Under-21s route to the U21 Premier League Cup Final.
