Southampton face Huddersfield on Saturday in what can only be described as a must-win encounter for the hosts.
Mauricio Pellegrino’s men welcome the Terriers to St Mary’s as they go in search of only their second win in 10 games. Huddersfield currently sit in 11th place, one position ahead of Saints, and are three points better off than Saturday’s counterparts.
Saints are in a treacherous run of form and it’s certainly looking tight at the bottom of the table. Pellegrino’s side are currently only three points above the relegation zone and are in danger of plummeting down the league table this weekend.
It’s looking as though Saints will be without a couple of key players, though. Cedric Soares is set to be sidelined for the next few games, and Ryan Bertrand suffered a blow to his hamstring at the end of the game against Chelsea.
So, with these two injury worries in mind, here’s how we expect Saints to line up against Huddersfield.
