Southampton’s tough run in to the New Year continues, as they prepare to host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
Saints, who have won just once in their last six outings, come into this fixture off the back of a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth, whilst Arsenal were comfortably beaten 3-1 by Manchester United last weekend.
The Gunners are likely to be without defender Shkodran Mustafi for their trip to the South Coast, with a late call set to be made over the German’s fitness. With that being said, Theo Walcott will travel to his former club, despite suffering a calf strain in midweek. Santi Cazorla (ankle) is also unavailable.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s only absentee will be right-back Cedric, who is still recovering from the hamstring injury he picked up, during the 2-1 loss at Manchester City a couple of weeks ago.
Saints have only lost one of their last six home Premier League matches against Arsenal, with that defeat coming at the end of last season. Conversely, Arsene Wenger’s side have not won successive away league fixtures at St Mary’s since 1997.
