The 2016/17 season will come to a close when Stoke City arrive at St Mary’s to face a Southampton side who haven’t scored in four consecutive home games.
Both sets of fans will want to see this season come to a close with both teams hovering around mid-table and not really having anything to play for.
Claude Puel and Mark Hughes have both received criticism this season from their fans.
A top half finish and a cup final is a decent season on paper but Saints supporters haven’t been truly convinced by Puel’s odd substitutions and defensive football.
Stoke have finished in the top ten a lot recently, but this season it could all change and both of these sides are fighting for the extra million or two that you could gain by finishing in the top half.
It’s hard to predict who will play on Sunday as both managers will rotate their sides to give fringe players a chance. Here is my opinion on five players who I think will impress against Stoke.
